"PAVEL ŠTOURAČ Physical theatre as the grammar of creation"

Curated by Giorgio Thoeni, in dialogue with Pavel ŠTOURAČ Wednesday 16 October 2019, 6.30 p.m. Aula Grande

Graduated in 1993 from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, since 2009 Štourač has been teaching acting and dramaturgy for the Master of Arts in Physical Theater, a program that focuses on artistic creation as an author, creator and performer. He directed shows such as Spettatori, Insomnia and Desire Caught by the Tail, which have already been brought, for example, to Lac and Studio Foce in Lugano. More recently, he has had a good critical and public success with the show Noon with which the Czech director has highlighted the use of an expressive grammar energetic and rigorous with words, music and movement declined to tell an exciting page of contemporary history.

This meeting aims to focus on a style, a pedagogy, a language and the objectives of an art that has roots anchored in the respect of past styles and traditions but that prevails of a momentum that looks to the future without boundaries or limitations of gender for a theater that is also a way of being in the world.
