For years committed to the promotion of sustainability in teaching, research and services for the territory, with the new Strategy 2021-2024 SUPSI formally commits itself to integrate the objectives of sustainability in the management of the institution and in the execution of its mandates.
The Sustainability Charter defines the commitments and the modalities of implementation of the principles of sustainability in SUPSI, in coherence with the principles of the institutional philosophy and in relation to all the key processes enrolled in the Quality Assurance System.
It was approved by the SUPSI Board in April 2020.
Statute and Code of Ethics
The SUPSI Statute, the document that defines the General Directives for the functioning of the institution, explicitly mentions the theme of sustainability in article 1. In fact, paragraph 7 recites: “In carrying out its activities, SUPSI pursues objectives of sustainable development in its economic, social, environmental and cultural dimensions”.
The SUPSI Code of Ethics also recalls the principles of sustainability: under the heading Responsibility, SUPSI undertakes to act “in compliance with environmental, economic, social and cultural responsibilities, according to the principles of sustainable development, in particular in the management of human and financial resources, as well as of infrastructures”.
