Catherine Daniela Vargas Torres, born in Bogotá, Colombia:
She completed the first steps into the world of the performing arts at the age of 7 by studying dance, the
theatre and especially juggling. She was lucky enough to meet the clowns and jugglers Jacob “Coco” Vargas and Raul “Nene” Vargas.
She also participated in the “Festival Internacional de Circo” in Bogotá since she was a child, as a performer. She took classes in clown workshops, commedia dell’arte,
juggling and dancing. In 2009 she was invited to participate at the show “Imágenes Latinas” as a juggler, organised by the company “Circus Sur”, in Caracas, Venezuela. In 2012 she became a part of the company “Art and Fuego” in Bogotá. In 2014 she won the residency grant, “Residencias nacionales de circo en Circo para Todos” of the Ministry of Bogotá’s culture, by creating a balance number while juggling with bottles. In 2015 she participated in the creation of “MK ULTRA” a piece of circus theatre, by Andrea Paola Martinez for two years.
In 2016 she began her “Bachelor of Arts in Theatre” at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Ticino, Switzerland, graduating in 2019.
