Luana Volet is a Swiss-Brazilian acrobat and physical theatre performer born in Lausanne (Vaud, Switzerland) in 1995. At a young age, she specialised in circus arts at the Ecole de Cirque de Lausanne (Switzerland), then at Zirkus Project Waldoni, in Darmstadt (Germany) and at Passe Muraille, in Besançon (France). In September 2016 she joined the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Ticino (Switzerland), where she enjoyed researching his own form of physical theatre, now called Théâtre de l’extrême. With the Théâtre de l’extrême, Luana Volet has co-written several shows: “souvenir du futur”, a danced and acrobatic solo for a witch; 3ciclo punkers, a street show on an Apecar created with Luca Lombardi and Matteao Chippari; maudit, maudit, maudit, a choreographic piece for two dancer*-demons created for the Quart d’Heure Sévelin 2020 with Patrice Bussy; and finally, douceur de la ville, a walk on concrete “unguided” by two dancers created with Lia Schädler. From September 2021 (and until June 2023) Luana is an apprentice at the FAI AR higher training of Art in public spaces in Marseille (France).
