The specialization, with its variety of courses, ensures that students can engage in a multitude of working methods, styles and theatrical techniques, and encourages them to experiment and take risks as actors and creators. Through specific courses and workshops, students discover a wide range of forms of Figure Theater, from traditional to more experimental and genre-bending. The program also includes spaces dedicated to the construction and development of objects or puppets, depending on the needs dictated by the students' artistic projects.

The curriculum is divided into four semesters. During the first two semesters, students discover and develop creative and artistic skills and principles in the context of the core courses, seminars and workshops of the Master of Arts in theater, while deepening the creative and exploratory character proper to the specialization. The third and fourth semesters are mainly devoted to artistic production and critical thinking.
A theme related to the body and its coexistence with materials, objects or puppets is the starting point of an artistic research that results in a theatrical creation presented to an audience. The performer accompanies the artistic work with a documentation of his or her research and a reflection on the process and its outcome.
