The performance of Physical Theatre is based on the third chapter of Ecclesiastes, an extremely influential text of the Old Testament. Written under the pseudonym Kohelet, which means “teacher” or “preacher”, it is traditionally attributed to King Solomon. It is a collection of short essays on good governance and the possibility of happiness, all overshadowed by the theme of vanity (or futility) of existence. All life naturally ends with death.
“For every thing there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” (Etc. 3.1.).
Through impressive scenic images the choreographer projects a vision of the world onto the spectator, offering him the possibility of surprise. The artist offers us a mirror in which the reflection becomes reflection.
