Objectives

The course offers a training that combines the development of artistic sensibility and creativity with the acquisition of speechless acting techniques. The student approaches the basic rules of these techniques through the creation and interpretation of characters and dramatic structures without words. This didactic path allows to explore different acting styles journeying along the border between action and movement. The elaboration of make-up, hairstyle and the choice of costumes completes the creation.

From the beginning of the training the student is confronted with creation through different theatrical techniques and experiences, based on Richard Weber’s pedagogy. The module consists of: Mute scenes, Scenes with a ball, Pantotecnica, Pantostile, Construction of and Acting with a mask, Make-up and costume history. By relying on one’ s theatrical instinct, the student acquires awareness of the tools necessary for the creation and interpretation of an essentially non-verbal dramatic structure.
