The two volumes report the results and experience of the project developed by Accademia Dimitri “Raccontare le migrazioni”. It consists of theatre and intercultural communication exercises for schools, which outlines and puts into practice a programme for schools aimed at promoting the intercultural competences of pupils and teachers. The project was carried out by combining extensive research work and a theatre workshop in schools, both focusing on the theme of migration. Thanks to their practical and experiential component, the workshops allowed girls and boys to experiment with human and social issues, creating an innovative approach that involves the whole person.
The theatre thus becomes an instrument of knowledge and awareness raising, allowing to deepen the theme of migration, overcoming the simplifications that divide reality into ‘us’ and ‘them’.
