Professor of Research and Didactics in Physical Theatre, Head of Research & Services, Teacher in Theory and History of...
ECTS (total in three years): 11
Language: Italian
Teachers: Demis Quadri, Veronica Provenzale
Guests: Café Philo, Settimana culturale
The module aims to enable students to develop an analytical point of view on their own education and to broaden their intellectual and cultural horizons. The proposed contents intend first of all to provide students with basic knowledge about some phenomena and periods in the history of theatre and performing arts. Students also explore some theoretical concepts that can help them to reflect analytically on texts and theatrical productions, while the intervention of scholars and professionals in the field (Café Philo, Settimana Culturale) provides further insights into particular expressions and forms of art and, in general, into the world of contemporary art.
During the three years of formation, through lectures, texts, videos and live performances, students are put in contact with some periods and genres of the history of theatre, which on one hand allows to provide them with notions on the evolution of this art and, on the other hand, to deal with some fundamental concepts and mechanisms of the performing arts on the basis of concrete examples. Students must also write a research work (block analysis work, LAB) devoted to theoretical reflection on a practical module of formation through a description and analysis based on a previous historical or conceptual deepening of topics related to it
