Demis Quadri

Professor of Research and Teaching in Physical Theatre, Head of Research & Services, Professor of theory and history of theatre

He graduated in Italian Language and Literature, Romance Philology and Ethnology at the University of Freiburg. He earned a double doctorate in Italian Language and Literature and in Theatre Studies at the Universities of Freiburg and Bern. In the academic year 2006/07 he was a member of the Swiss Institute in Rome. From 2005 to 2009 he collaborated on a research project on the comedy of art with the Institute of Theatrical Studies in Bern. In 2010 he collaborated for some teaching modules with the Haute école de musique in Geneva. She participated in the publication of an edition of the seventeenth-century Most Chosen Scenarios of Histrionics directed by Stefan Hulfeld and winner in 2014 of an award awarded by the Rectorate of the University of Vienna. He is currently a member of the board of directors of the Swiss Society of Theatre Studies, the Federal Theatre Jury and the Elisarion Cultural Commission. Among his main research topics are the comedy of art, physical theatre and theatres of diversity.
