Nancy Furst
Pantomime teacher
An actress, singer, and director, she graduated from the Accademia Teatro Dimitri and subsequently trained in singing. Since 1991, she has performed with various theater companies and in various musical productions, including Compagnia Teatro Dimitri, 900presente on RSI (Italian-language Swiss Radio and Television), the Conservatorio della Svizzera italiana, and Théâtre les50 in France. She is the founder of the jazz quintet Out of the Blue. She is also a co-founder of the company Le Théâtre de Minuit, which has been dedicated to comic theater for over 25 years and tours Switzerland and abroad with its theatrical creations. Her playful and burlesque side finds expression in her productions, such as her reinterpretation of Bruno Maderna's opera "Satyricon" and various Variété shows.
In her courses, she explores different approaches to storytelling, sometimes playful, sometimes analytical, wordless, but always involving total physical involvement.
At the Academy, Dimitri also oversees the curriculum planning for the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre program.
