Raúl Vargas Torres

Teacher Physical Theatre and Performance

Performer of physical theatre and circus, director and Colombian pedagogue. In his early years as an autodidact he developed a transdisciplinary approach to performance, drawing on the synergy of various styles, disciplines and personal experiences. He later trained as an actor with director/playwright Felipe García in Bogotá.
As creator and author, he has made several performances that have led him to perform in several festivals, such as: Zürcher Theater Spektakel (CH), THEALTER 23 (HU), Palestinian Circus Festival, masque (FI), Festspillene I Nord Norge (NO), Varscene Fest (NO), among others.
Raúl has collaborated with artists such as David Zambrano, Sophia Rodriguez, Davide Giovanzana and with the companies Gandini Juggling Project, Muro de Espuma, Art-o de Caracas.
He holds a Master in Theatre Arts from the Dimitri Academy.
