Accademia Dimitri with OSI: Romeo and Juliet for Schools | 5–7 May 2025

Updated: 4 days ago

This year, e Accademia Dimitri is honored to collaborate with Orchestra della Svizzera italiana (OSI) as part of the School Concerts, taking place from May 5 to 7, 2025, at the Sala Teatro of the LAC.

The stars of this edition are the first-year students of the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre, who have embarked on a creative journey guided by dance teacher Andrea Herdeg and acrobatics teacher Alexei Ivanov. Makeup and costumes are curated by Stephanie Metzner, with some masks created in collaboration with Colette Roy.

On stage, together with the OSI conducted by Maestro Philippe Béran and presenter Carla Norghauer, they will bring to life theatrical moments inspired by the timeless story of Romeo and Juliet, aiming to take children on an exciting journey through music, movement, and imagination.

This collaboration offers our students a unique opportunity to challenge themselves in a professional setting, helping to make the world of music and dance more accessible and engaging for young audiences.

A precious occasion to nurture a love for the arts from an early age — through the meeting of theatre, music, and school.
