The performer and teacher Eliška Vavříková will present insights from her artistic research
project Trigger Point, developed at the Department of Nonverbal Theatre, Academy of Performing Arts in Prague.

This lecture explores how words—spoken, read, or imagined—can be experienced and expressed physically. Rather than treating language as a tool for delivering meaning, the project investigates how words resonate through the body, shaping movement, presence, and emotional response.
Through workshops and collaboration with students from theatre and sound design, the research uncovered methods for using language as a creative material in physical theatre. Words are not constraints—they are energetic impulses that can be embodied, transformed, and projected into space.
Language can live in the body, inspire choreography, and open new pathways in artistic and
pedagogical practice.
