The Accademia Dimitri is delighted to have hosted Ali Lamaadli, PREMIO finalist, during the summer Physical Theatre course led by Raul Wilson Vargas Torres. His participation was connected to the project Passé Composé, which will premiere in March 2026 at the Théâtre du Grütli in Geneva.

Passé Composé originates from a real correspondence between Ahmed, a young Moroccan, and Anne-Marie, a French woman, in the early 1970s. Through these letters, Ali invites us on a journey through memory, identity, and intergenerational relationships, weaving together epistolary archives, stage narration, and visual projections. The result is an immersive and emotional theatrical experience that explores what connects seemingly distant worlds.
Ali Lamaadli, a Moroccan multidisciplinary artist based in Switzerland, develops a language that combines theatre, performance, dance, and music, dissolving the boundaries between genres to create an experimental and poetic artistic approach.
We are glad to have welcomed his creative process in Verscio and to have contributed to nurturing this work. We look forward to discovering its future developments on stage!
