🎭 Recita Maschere – Bachelor of Arts in Theatre

Working with masks is one of the core experiences in the training at Accademia Dimitri. Every year, starting from these sculpted forms, third-year students of the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre bring characters, relationships, and scenes to life. The mask becomes a creative companion: it suggests a character, evokes a story, and guides the performer toward a specific expressive style.

Encounters with masks can give rise to moments that are comic, poetic, political, stylized, or more realistic. It is a process that intertwines handcrafted skill with scenic research, allowing each student to find their own expression.

The Mask Performance, curated by Colette Roy, is an opportunity to immerse yourself in this journey and discover how entire worlds can emerge from the silence of a wooden face.
