Telling Stories Without Words – Scene Mute
Telling stories without words is a challenge that puts the body at the center. With the project Scene Mute, students of the Bachelor of Arts in Theatre explored the idea of creating and performing short stories relying solely on gestures, walks, and postures.
The process begins with observing movement as an expressive tool and continues with exploring situations and themes that can transform into theatrical narratives. Each scene develops its own tone: it can be delicate and lyrical, comic and light, intense and dramatic, or even evolve into dark comedy. What changes is the perspective of the creator, who imprints their own point of view on the work.
Guided by Nancy Fürst, the students present the results of this exploration in two moments open to the public.
