Christa Barrett was born and raised in Freiburg. She toured for three seasons as a young artist with Circus Chnopf and Cirque de Loin. She then completed a three-year training programme to become a physical actress at the Accademia Dimitri, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in 2014. Since then, Christa has participated in several projects, such as Cie Marjolaine Minot and Mummenschanz. However, she has never completely abandoned the circus world and regularly teaches children and young people at various circus schools.
