Clowning with Emmanuel Pouilly

This course proposes rediscovering the pleasure of playing. We will enter for a moment into the world of play when, we remember, hours no longer counted.

Everyone will cultivate their lack of skill in handling objects, emotions, words, and their ability to move, and then be led towards the tragicomic aspect of the resulting situations.

Flaws, feats, stupidity, intelligence, innocence, naivety, imbalance, failure, inadequacy, virtuosity, but above all authenticity will be encouraged. Emmanuel Pouilly is an actor, director and teacher. A graduate of the Scuola Teatro Dimitri.

His teachers were Philippe Gaulier, the Clown Dimitri, Jean Martin Roy, Pablo Ariel Bursztyn and Carlos Maria Alsina. He was a member of the Dimitri Theatre Company. He co-founded 'Le Théâtre de Minuit' and the 'Teatro sotto le stelle' festival. He has organized numerous cultural events, including the Ascona International Festival of Street Artists 'Artistidistrada' and 'Jubilee Dimitri. He currently teaches 'clowning' and 'Entrées clownesques' at the Accademia Teatro  Dimitri and holds master classes in Italy, Germany and Switzerland.
