Schedule: 9.00 AM -12.00 PM/1:30 PM - 3:30 PMDance and Improvisation is an intensive course focused on developing body awareness through movement. Through exercises in body perception and guided improvisational dance practices, participants increase self-awareness and expand their movement range. Simple rules and compositional structures support improvisation, fostering creativity, attentive listening, and the relationship between body, space, and imagination.
Solange Schifferdecker
Born in 1984, Solange Schifferdecker graduated in 2009 from the Accademia Teatro Dimitri and continued her training in physical theatre at JAMU University (Czech Republic).From 2011 to 2015, she lived in Brussels, working in theatre and dance with various companies and choreographers, including Ana Stegnar, Vincenzo Carta, and the Goldberg Rodriguez Association, while also participating in short films. Returning to Switzerland in 2016, she collaborated with Sarah-Jane Moloney, Jennifer Skolovski, and Marcela San Pedro, and in 2017 joined the permanent ensemble of SAT under the direction of Gabriel Alvarez, with whom she created seven productions and toured in Colombia.
In 2018, she presented Voisinage moléculaire at several Swiss festivals. In 2022, she created Nature You Are, the first project of Cie Les Diatomées. In 2024, she produced the puppet piece Spectres in Geneva and presented Les nuits ne nous appartiennent pas.
Her work emerges from the body, between dance and spoken word, with a strong focus on aesthetics. At the same time, she has deepened her research into body languages, trained in Body-Mind Centering©, explored puppet theatre, and has been teaching body awareness since 2018. Since 2024, she has been teaching at the École Professionnelle de Théâtre de Rhône.
