This volume brings together an account of four applied social theater research projects developed by the Dimitri Academy, related to issues of education, diversity and well-being. This is a "social" type of theater, which as such uses a precise methodology and pursues specific goals, focusing notably on processes of exploration and learning, as well as empowerment and relationships between people.

The peculiarity of all these experiences is that they consist of projects based on approaches rooted in practice and with specific interest in the body and movement understood as cognitive, creative and expressive means. At the same time, an obvious common thread connects all these projects and fields of application: the art of theater - with its own ways and times, and especially with its particular space governed by its own rules and separated from everyday life, where it is possible to get involved and wonder - which proves to be an extraordinary tool for transformative learning.
