"Lluqu, lluqu" - Two heartbeats to live

“Lluqu, lluqu” is a Physical Theatre solo that takes the audience on an epic journey through the agrarian celebrations of the Bolivian Altiplano.

Festivals, colors, music, masks, dances and the majestic landscapes of the South American Andes intertwine to create a vibrant theatrical experience.

In the Aymara language, “Lluqu” means heart, the vital organ.

Pronounced twice, the heart begins to pulsate with life: *Lluqu, lluqu*.

Life must be evoked,

the heart must be called twice

so that it can start beating,

to give and to receive.

Today we celebrate as if it were the last time!

This is the promise that opens the scene, and throughout the show we will build, minute by minute, that shared joy that unites the community.

Inspired by the agricultural calendar and its festive rites, the show explores the gesture of giving and exchange, weaving the connection between humanity, community, nature, and the cosmos.

This Andean warrior's relentless struggle to keep traditions alive becomes a contemporary manifesto for the celebration of life and the right to identity.

Here we celebrate life in all its forms...

It is celebrated with all forms of life...

It is always celebrated in community and with deep gratitude.

This show is singing, offering, dancing, celebrating and pure lived experience.
