Someone is giving birth.

Someone is coming into the world.

Someone is trying to help.

As pregnant or laboring women, we entrust our health and that of our baby to professionals. These doctors and midwives are professionally trained and often have years or decades of experience. However, many women* experience various forms of violence before, during, or after childbirth.

A mother, a child, a doctor, and a random guy, funny but not at all funny, all ask themselves the same question: Who made the mistake?

The following solo performance of radical physical theater and documentary is an attempt to understand the causes and consequences of obstetric violence. This work isn't intended to point fingers, but rather to raise hands and let them hang in the air for a moment. It's a journey into the world of abuse and mistreatment within clinical healthcare settings.
