Ya COMPLICADO

Ya COMPLICADO is a physical theatre production inspired by the African theatrical tradition known as ‘Koteba’. It is a show that explores the concept of ‘bureaucratic red tape’: all too often, in dealings with the authorities, we are faced with situations of waiting that are imposed upon us and weigh heavily on us.

Often, in administration, we are faced with imposed waiting situations. Ya COMPLICADO is a moment where the body and words attempt to bring to life often invisible and indescribable realities. How can waiting impact our physicality? How does our inability affect our bodies? How can a piece of paper that weighs only five grams feel heavier than a human body?
