Athanasia Chatzigiannaki is a performer born in 1996 in Athens, Greece. Her first steps into the world of performing arts were the ones of traditional greek dances that led her to the realization that movement was an important tool of expression to her. While studying as a journalist in the Kapodistrian University of Athens, she decided to explore further her potential in performing arts and dedicated her time in classical ballet and aerial dance. Later, she moved to the Netherlands, where she obtained her Bachelor degree in circus arts (Academy of Circus and Performance Art, Tilburg).
Insisting in all the different aspects of her identity and background, she continued in her professional career combining all of them. Even adding some more. She worked as creator and performer of circus in various european countries (Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Belgium, Switzerland, Sweden), she mixed journalism with script writing and danse with cinematography.
Still longing for more learning opportunities, she began her master’s degree in Physical Theatre at the Accademia Dimitri in 2022.
