Languages: German, English, Italian

Elena grew up in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, and according to her parents, she was climbing before she could even walk. Movement and exploring the abilities of the body have always been central to her life, and this early curiosity has stayed with her as a steady companion.

From the age of ten, she discovered the world of circus with Arabas Cirque Jeunesse, where she tried different disciplines and encountered artistic expression for the first time. Being in a creative and supportive environment shaped her open-mindedness and her appreciation for working together with others.

After finishing school, she took a gap year that brought her to London, where she trained intensively for two months at Aircraft Circus Academy. It was there that she realized how much she loves pushing herself physically — training hard, investing energy, and learning about the possibilities of her body, while staying attentive and mindful of its limits.

Later, Elena went on tour with Circus Monti, this time working backstage as a chef. While she enjoyed life on the road, she also knew deep down that she wanted to be on stage, touching audiences and creating art, just like the performers she watched each day.

Her own research gradually led her toward physical theatre, even before she fully knew what it was. The mix of theatre, circus, dance, and music felt natural to her — a space where her interests could come together. With the wish to turn this blend of creativity into a profession, she joined Accademia Teatro Dimitri. Here, Elena is discovering new possibilities to grow and develop her artistic voice, guided by her curiosity, as she prepares to step into a future where her work creates connection and touching moments.
