Elena Becker

BA - Purple Year

Date of birth: August 28, 2004

Nationality: Swiss

Languages: German, English, Italian

Elena grew up in the German-speaking part of Switzerland and, according to her parents, began climbing even before she could walk. Movement and exploring the body's capabilities have always been central to her life, and this early curiosity has remained a constant companion.

At the age of ten, she discovered the world of circus with Arabas Cirque Jeunesse, where she experimented with various disciplines and explored artistic expression for the first time. The creative and supportive environment she found herself in helped shape her open-mindedness and appreciation for teamwork.

After finishing school, she decided to take a gap year that took her to London, where she trained intensely for two months at the Aircraft Circus Academy. It was there that she realized how much she enjoyed challenging her physical limits: training with dedication, investing energy and discovering her body's potential, while remaining mindful and aware of its limitations.

She later went on tour with Circus Monti, this time working behind the scenes as a chef. Although she enjoyed life on the road, she knew that deep down, her desire was to be on stage, thrilling audiences and creating art, just like the artists she saw perform every day.

Her personal exploration gradually led her to Physical Theatre , even before she knew exactly what it was. The blend of theater, circus, dance, and music always seemed natural to her: a space where her interests could meet and merge. Eager to turn this creative combination into a profession, she enrolled at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri. Here, Elena is exploring new possibilities for growth and developing her artistic voice, driven by curiosity and the desire to build a future where her work can create authentic connections and emotions.
