Élise Taiana

MA - Year Barro

Currently based in Verscio for the Master at Accademia Teatro Dimitri, Elise follows the concept of Manuopera, a theater based on Do It Yourself and on the suspension of disbelief to create spaces outside narration. She explores topics of individual and collective memories. She creates the Cie Manu Manu…

Born in 1992, she began theater with La Compagnie du Dé. After a Bachelor’s degree in social work, she continued at the Lassaad School in Brussels and, right after Covid, she created À l’ombre du doute with a team, presented at the Fais comme chez toi festival. She worked with Cie Ananki as an assistant and performer, and created Cachemire and Pompomgirl with Garance Baudon from the Décole Collective.

Elise has taken part in poetry and music festivals in Valais, her native region. The Oudrik project (born from Les enfants du fleuve) reflects her creations through music, voice, and writing. Her exploration continues as she discovers the resources of the body to express the human experience, remaining critical on stage and transmitting it.
