Flamur Shabanaj is intersted and engaged many different things. One of that is movement. Since Flamur can walk, he feels the urge to move his body in different activities. Flamur pracitsed for many years Parkour and Freerunning, Tricking, Breaking, Contemporary Dance, Football, Ping Pong and Kickboxing. Based on the time, the circumstances and his needs, one form of movement has been practised more. At the moment, Flamur acts in the fields of self-expression and communication through movement. His main focus and drive in movement though is to bring himself into exhaustment and trying to stretch his own boarders, physically and mentally.

There is beauty in exhaustion. If you allow it to happen to you, evenetually you will find treasures of novelty.

Besides  movement, Flamur is also interested in Teaching. He is interested in connecting with people in different learning settings and trying to figure out what the person or the group needs.

Flamur studied primary education at the Fachhochschule Nordwestschweiz and worked several years as a teacher. In the school setting, Flamur took over many roles. He worked as a class teacher, as a topic teacher and as a special needs education teacher in primary and in secondary classes. The experiences he made shaped his perception of learning, power and safety and are omnipresent in moments of responsability.

The last thing that interests Flamur is the self, the group and how people navigate these two poles in different cultural systems.

Flamur grew up in an albanian household and went to school in Switzerland. After finishing the secondary school, Flamur made a technical apprenticeship and worked several years in a workshop. After that, flamur studied teaching and worked as a teacher in school. Next to the studies, Flamur worked as a performer and an artist in two collectives. Afer the studies, Flamur studied Contemporary for one year in Berlin.

In all these different culutres, Flamur got to experince how people work, interact and navigate their selfs. These experiences shaped his perspective of life itself and what acutally matters, for himself and the people around him.

His next journey brings him to physical theatre and the treasures of knowledge and wisdom in that field.
