Gabriel Romero

Also known as Gabo Caronte, he has been working in theater, movement, and circus arts for over 10 years.

His research focuses on developing a transdisciplinary scenic language that combines physical theatre, circus, performance art, and experimentation with objects. He has recently developed an interest in magic , pedagogy , and creative collaborations with other researchers and artists.

In Costa Rica, he co-founded and performed in independent companies such as Circo del Tercer Mundo, Los Gangarilla, and, more recently, La Nave de los Tontos. He has presented his work and led workshops in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Argentina, Spain, and Italy.

Before starting his master's degree, he worked as artistic director of the show “The Language of Clouds” (2024) by Circo Fantazztic or (social circus project in Costa Rica), touring in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In 2025 he participated as a physical performer in the show Everything Is Going to Be Fine , directed by the Jukstapoz company for the Accademia Teatro Dimitri.

For the summer of 2026 he will join Varieté Pavé 's new creation, on tour in Switzerland.
