Jana Štofaniková

MA - Barro Year

Jana Štofaniková is a Slovak performer exploring the possibilities of physical theatre through an interdisciplinary approach that moves between movement, theatre, performance, and handbalancing.

She studied at the Private Conservatory in Prešov (SK) and later completed

a Bachelor’s degree in Nonverbal Theatre at the Academy of Performing Arts

in Prague (CZ). She is currently earning a Master’ s degree at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri in Switzerland.

As a performer and co-author, she has collaborated with companies including Divadlo Actores Rožňava, Cililing (SK), and co-founded the Prague-based theatre company Neviditelné děti (Invisible Children), developing performances rooted in physical theatre, pantomime, and acrobatics.

Her artistic practice grows from an ongoing fascination with the body and mind. Through moving between different countries, contexts, and forms, she continues to explore play, presence, and curiosity both on stage and

in everyday life.
