Laure Lehmann
MA - Year Barro
Laure Lehmann is a Swiss comedian from the French-speaking part of Switzerland. She did amateur theatre for 20 years before turning professional. After completing a two-year theatre course at the Ecole de Théâtre Martigny in Valais, followed by a one-year course in physical theatre at the Ecole Internationale de Théâtre Lassaâd in Belgium, she went on to complete a Master's degree in Physical Theatre at the Accademia Dimitri.
Her style is a blend of clowning, dance and physical theatre. It was at Accademia Dimitri that she found her artistic path through her clown. Her clowning gives her the freedom she was looking for. She is also passionate about the creative side of theatre, especially creating props and accessories. For her, art and craft play a significant role in connecting with her art.
Although she wants to use her art to address difficult topics that matter to her, her main goal is to make people laugh and ensure they have a good time at the theatre. She is looking for human connection through art.
