Luna Scolari

Year Robinia

For Luna, the discovery of the arts began by playing the violin, singing and dancing from an early age. She then discovered cinema and theatre and, as soon as she could, left Switzerland to explore city life, the metropolis, where she plunged into the artistic universes of Berlin, Paris and Barcelona. In these three lives, Luna squeezes in a bachelor's degree in Theatre and Cinema (Paris 8 Saint-Denis), Lecoq training (Paris/Barcelona), the study of singing, work at the Locarno Film Festival, research into the expressive possibilities of the body through various practices, collective and individual creation.
She has recently been a mysterious "être des bois" in the performance "LEVIATHAN" at Châteauvallon-Liberté Scène nationale, and the bearer of a project at the ENS in Paris in which theatrical practice and theory come together to investigate the notion of corps extatique.
The thirst for theatre. This is one of the few constants and certainties of her wanderings. The desire to discover different ways of doing theatre and art, to observe how those who create are crossed by ideas and give birth to them scenically. Thus, she takes every opportunity to spy on the companies that inspire her during their rehearsals (e.g. Serge Nicolai with 'Sleeping Beauty', Romeo Castellucci with 'BROS', Ariane Mnouchkine with 'L'île d'Or' at the Théâtre du Soleil).

Stubbornness, curiosity, doubt and passion are the engines that make Luna travel the border, on stage and in life, and tirelessly question the possibilities of creation, accompanied by the words of Heiner Müller that flutter in her mind:
The function of art is to make reality impossible.
Certainly there may be art with an affirmative function, but I am not able to make it. ('Gesammelte Irrtümer')
