Narayana Ananda Sieber is a Swiss artivist working primarily as a writer, theatre maker and performer. After her Bachelor`s degree in writing at the Swiss literature institute, including one semester at the University of Arts in Berlin, she began her Master`s degree in Theatre at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri, focusing on Physical Theatre. Former engagements led her to the Zurich opera house as an acrobat, to the Czech Continuo Theatre, as well as to various theatre festivals as part of the new founded Physical Theatre company My Spine Is Fine. She has been a dedicated cello player for many years, enabling her to frequently incorporate musicality and rhythm in her own artistic work. In her current creation, she is attempting to connect political issues with her movement and sound research in order to unveil the complex causes and consequences of violence connected childbirth, also called obstetric violence.
