Nico Dorigatti

Nico Dorigatti is a theatre artist born and raised in Lower Austria.
After his education as an actor at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (Max Reinhardt Seminar), he started his Master in Theatre studies at the Accademia Dimitri in Verscio.

Nico is working as an actor, dancer, writer and director.
His previous commitments include projects in state theatres in Austria, Germany and Italy, such as the Burgtheater, Theater in der Josefstadt, Theater Freiburg and Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen, as well as collaborations with various artists, companies and festivals in Austria, Germany, Czech Republic, China, Turkey and Switzerland.

Nico’s work revolves around the themes of violence, nature and interhuman relations, exploring humanity’s place in the world, its effects and its connection to the environment.

Nico is currently working on his Master project, the ritualistic site-specific performance A Little Bit of Everything, as well as preparing to direct the theatre piece Grit and the Dragon in Austria and writing a novel.
