Philippe Huwiler

Philippe Huwiler discovered his passion for the stage in 2006, when he joined the Thun Parish Theatre Company. Under the direction of Thierry Benotmane, he acted in several plays, including 'L'Affaire de la rue de Lourcine' by Eugène Labiche and 'Le Médecin malgré lui' by Molière.
In 2008, he joined the theatre group of the Gymnase de Bienne, where he contributed to the writing of the play 'Pauvres Diables' for his baccalaureate thesis. In 2013, he joined the theatre group of the University of Fribourg, where he performed in Chekhov's 'The Seagull'. In 2019, he joined the improvisation group 'La Foir'.
In addition to his passion for theatre, Philippe Huwiler trained as a primary school teacher and taught in the Canton of Fribourg from 2018 to 2020. With the desire to hone his skills and deepen his understanding of the art of theatre, he completed a pre-professional year in Drama at the Fribourg Conservatoire in 2020. In 2021, he joins the Accademia Dimitri.
