Willi Hohnwald

BA - Turquoise Year

Date of birth: 07.05.1999

For a long time, Willi Hohnwald was lost in space-time, searching for

a deeper meaning. To get to the bottom of his questions, he traveled all over Southeast Asia and learned to sit in silence with Buddhist monks—something he still practices today, but upside down, on his hands. But before learning to stay calm while balancing vertically on his hands, he discovered how to dig the soil properly with his bare hands in the Tennental community—not to find earthworms, but to help grow vegetables. There, he realized that personal growth is important. So he went to the Jugendseminar, where he discovered the stage and fell in love with physical expression. He understood that in this practice, he would find his purpose. With this goal clear in his mind, he began Cirque Intense, where he learned to jump. His teacher’s words remained etched in his mind: “Go, Willi, jump!” From that moment on, he tried to spend more time in the air than on the ground. With this goal in mind, he began his journey at the Accademia Teatro Dimitri.
