Everything is going to be fine
Direction by Juksta
Every year, under the guidance of a professional director from a specific cultural and theatrical background, the students of the Accademia Dimitri – one of Switzerland's four theatre universities – create an original performance, the culmination of their Bachelor in Arts of Theatre program. This performance, designed to be toured, represents a true rite of passage, a bridge between academic training and the artistic world.
Everything is going to be fine, a work that does not ask to be understood, but to be experienced. For this edition, the creation has been entrusted to the company Juksta, led by Christine Gouzelis and Paul Blackman, a Greek artistic duo who, with clarity and expressive intensity, give voice to the concerns of our present time.
Their stage language, decidedly contemporary, offers images that do not aim to reassure, but rather to question and unsettle. The fragmented narrative reflects the frenetic and complex nature of our era.
This is not a performance that provides answers, but an experience that opens up questions: about the pace of our lives, the goals we pursue, and the meaning of the path itself.
In 2025, a special year marking the 50th anniversary of the Accademia Dimitri, an extraordinary production has been chosen to express the artistic vision of the entire institution. For the first time, the collective performance intertwines the voices, gestures, and perspectives of the Bachelor and Master students, creating a mosaic of approaches and sensibilities.
In this meeting of generations and experiences that enrich one another, Everything is going to be fine was born: not just a performance, but a collective journey, an experience that celebrates history, education, art, and the magic that arises when theatre becomes a shared breath.
Everything is going to be fine is an intense immersion into the heart of human connections, told through dynamic and engaging choreographic structures. The performance takes the audience on a journey through the complexities of relationships, suspended between fragility and depth. With a fusion of emotions and movement, it celebrates love and loss, embracing uncertainty as an essential part of existence. A vibrant tribute to the beauty and vulnerability that define the human condition.
In this poignant performance, a performer faces the unpredictable circumstances that unfold on stage, struggling at every moment to celebrate and honor life. With the awareness that time, for him as for every human being, is limited. The performance is a powerful journey, in which the audience is invited to share the performer’s quest, an intense and intimate path to grasp and understand the beauty of existence before it fades away.
"With this work, we pay tribute to the human condition in all its richness and fragility. Dance and theatre intertwine to give voice to the contradictions, hopes, and pains that define the human experience. We invite you to experience this adventure, where every movement, every word, and every silence becomes an invitation to perceive the depth of our existence." Jukstapoz
