Mi Rifaccio Vivo
Francesco Daglia
Mattia Pascal is trapped in a non-place of contemporary solitude, a limbo between life and death caused by the absence of his true digital identity. How would he experience his loneliness today? Marginalized, he is confined to a dialogue with AI-DA, his only remaining conversational partner.
Who would we be today without a virtual profile? Could we be considered nonexistent in the eyes of society and, perhaps, therefore dead? The protagonist initially experiences his nonexistence as a liberation, only to realize that the absence of a profile would, in fact, lead him to a death not far from a real one. Mi Rifaccio Vivo aims to explore the fragile boundary between solitude and death, normalizing its desire and updating a character whose story resonates strongly with contemporary reality.
