Sophie!

Flurina Birri

How far are you willing to go to defend your values, conscience and humanity itself?

Munich, February 1943. In an effort to mobilize opposition to National

Socialism, Sophie Scholl and her brother Hans were arrested after distributing leaflets at the University of Munich for the resistance group “White Rose”.

Shortly thereafter, she was condemned to death and executed by guillotine at the age of twenty-one.

This adaptation focuses on the development of Sophie’s conscience:

driven by a deep moral conviction, she stands up for truth, humanity and her

conscience.

The project portrays the moment when staying silent was no longer an option — and action became the only possible alternative.
