Of cups and stars

The teapot whispers to the cup.

And there is somebody who listens.

He‘s convinced: the whole world is engaged in a quiet conversation and it is his job to eavesdrop on her. But what is it trying to say?

Out of existential loneliness, suspended between grandiosity and doubt in his own perception, an other appears a possible answer. Yet the attempt to interpret the signs and impose order begins to falter. Power shifts into powerlessness, play turns into seriousness and reality starts to slip.

The piece moves between humor and abyss, between childlike curiosity and existential solitude. A theatrical exploration of how we construct reality and what happens when the one who answers suddenly disappears.
