Vampire toi-même !
Gratianne Lagauzère
…et dans mes songes
Par la fenêtre descendait Musidora,
Ma belle souris d'hôtel un
Rayon de lune in noir tights…
...wrote Louis Aragon in his poem "Chagall in the Fourteenth Snow." Who remembers Musidora today? Aside from a few cinephiles with a fetish for tracksuits, the woman considered a silent film star and muse of the Surrealists has faded into oblivion. Yet our subconscious easily recognizes this black, agile figure playing tightrope walker on city rooftops. A touch of Catwoman? A costume reminiscent of bondage? Something of her body still resonates with us. As Musidora said, "The silent speak to you."
What do they have to tell us?
