How do we honor the memory of those who leave us? What remains after our final departure? And what if the final ritual was never truly completed, if something was left unresolved... what becomes of us? Funerals tells the story of a woman and two strange undertakers who tried to honor her memory. The three of them embark on a ceremony to set her free, but what was meant to be a tribute gradually became a place where the wounds of the past come back. With Balloon, church benches, coffin, rituals, and cigarettes, “Few near all” explores our hazy memories, the absurdity of lives that slowly burn away, and that strange passage between life and something else... A play where the living encounter death.
