Landay

Landay is a physical theatre performance created by Diana Khwaja in collaboration with Sean Henderson (CH/USA), set designer Marcela Záchenská (SK), and video artist Kristián Babjar (SK). (SK) and video artist Kristián Babjar (SK).

Combining different cultural backgrounds, the artists will study how life under pressure affects human lives.

The Landay show explores the external aspects of Dari and Pashto poetry (rhythm, melody of the language) and juxtaposes them with other stories of people from around the world and their escape from oppression and abuse of body and mind.

The show plays with the absurdity of the daily lives of people under pressure. The performers express through movement and sound how they feel, constantly striving to understand how constraints and obstacles shape their bodies and their lives.
